They Might Be Giants were playing a concert at the Bowery Ballroom to celebrate the New York opening of their film Gigantic. While waiting for the show to commence, I had a few drinks and then headed toward the ladies' room, located downstairs. Standing at the top of the stairs was someone who looked very familiar although I couldn't quite place him. "Are you on TV?" I asked. He told me his name was Robert Krulwich and he was on World News. When I came back upstairs he was still there, so I asked him to sign one of the Gigantic postcards I had grabbed. It later turned out Mr. Krulwich was there to make a cameo appearance onstage.
